Transform India – One Girl at a Time
Poverty renders women and girls vulnerable to injustice and exploitation, including by sex traffickers and loan sharks.
OneMaker helps Indian girls in poverty to have a brighter future by providing them with a quality education taught in English. Investing in these girls is an expression of our mission to be a tangible expression of God’s love to women and girls in poverty. 
The girls in the program come from poor families; some are daughters of single mothers, and some have absentee fathers – fathers who have abandoned the family or are alcoholics. These girls’ mothers struggle just to provide the basic necessities for their children.
Providing these girls with a good education is strategic for effecting positive change not only in their families, but also in their nation. Having a quality education in English gives these girls a competitve advantage for winning good jobs when they graduate high school, and the hope of continuing their studies at a university in English, breaking the cycle of poverty in their families. Freedom in Christ Foundation and OneMaker partner together to provide these girls with hope for a bright future.
OneMaker donors enabled ten girls to participate in 2011. Our dream is to make it possible for them to continue their studies through high school. In 2012, we hope to add five more girls for a total of fifteen!

The cost of the program is $30/month per girl and we are aiming to raise enough to cover 15 girls this year ($5,400). To make a difference in these girls’ lives, donate to support OneMaker’s Transform India – One Girl at a Time Program. Unlike traditional one-to-one sponsorship programs, where you only track the child you’re sponsoring, this program gives you access to the stories and photos of all 10 girls in this group. Donations of any amount are welcome and are tax-deductible.
There are three ways to give:
1. Make a special donation: For a gift of $100 or more, donors will receive periodic updates on the girls’ progress.

2. Make a recurring monthly donation of $30, $60, or $90.
3. Donate to cover a portion of costs of travel to India
Any funds given in excess of the cost of sending 15 girls to school for 1 year plus true travel costs for this first visit will be reserved in a fund to be applied to the girls’ tuition and travel the following year.
*Donors sponsor these 10-15 girls collectively as a donor group. Reports on all girls in the program will be provided electronically to donors who provide a special donation of $100 or more or who make a monthly gift of $30/month for one year, and as donors you will be given online access (password protected) to their stories and photos.
