Artisan Groups

OneMaker launches artisan groups with jewelry making training and business coaching.

By teaching women in poverty new skills and developing their aptitudes, we also help them earn a fair wage and work in dignity.  They use their income to alleviate the multi-faceted suffering that poverty brings and to move closer to their dreams for themselves and their children.

How do artisans use their income?

  • To send their daughters to school alongside her sons.
  • To end weeks of having only tea and bread to feed their children.
  • To pay off debts so loan sharks stop demanding sexual favors.
  • To become literate.
  • To assure their daughters they do not have to be married before they are ready.
