OneMaker helps artisan groups get started with good business plans and jewelry making training and provides ongoing coaching. 

We help women in poverty learn new skills, develop their aptitudes, earn a fair wage, and work in dignity.  They use their income to alleviate the multi-faceted suffering that poverty brings and to move closer to their dreams for themselves and their children.

How do artisans use their income?

• To send her daughters to school alongside her sons.
• To end weeks of having only tea and bread to feed her children.
• To pay off her debt so her loan shark stops demanding sexual favors.
• To become literate.
• To assure her daughters they do not have to be married before they are ready.
